Nokia Mobile phone company introduced a variety of scheme for the Nokia mobile users. the scheme introduced is that, there is a special insurance scheme for the Nokia phones if those are lost by theft or any other unexpected damages. The insurance provider for the Nokia mobile phones are New India Assurance company.  The main aim of this special insurance policy for the mobile is to retain the existing customers of Nokia and attract the new buyers of the mobile phones by creating a good image in the mind of general public. The facility of Insurance for the mobiles are only allowed to the new buyers of the Nokia mobile phones. Initially, the Insurance facility is available at ten cities in India.

This Insurance facility is available now only throgh the registered retail stores and the places which available are Delhi, Cochin, Jaipur, Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Pune, Kolkata, chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

The criteria for getting the Insurance policy is that the buyers should pay a premium of Rs. 50 or 1.25 percent of the cost of mobile, which ever is higher will be applicable to the process. Normal causes of theft, burglary or any other damages, the customer will get the insurance within 5 days under this scheme. Customers will not get any advantage from the insurance company if the mobile is lost at overseas or by forgetting in some shops or other places etc. 

The insurance will be available for one year of time from the date of purchase. the Insurance company will reduce 10 percentage of depreciation within three months, twenty five percentage of depreciation between 3 to 6 months and fifty percentage of depreciation after 6 months of the purchase of Nokia mobile phones.
