0 Indian telecom companies hiked call rates - the companies are Bharati Airtel, Idea cellular, Vodafone etc

The leading telecom companies are planning to increase the call rate per minute. The Bharati Airtel and Idea cellular were already increased the rate of call per minute up to 30 percent. The main reason for the hike of the call charge is the increase of fuel charge by each  specific interval. The mobile companies are highly depends on the generators for their day to day functioning in all over the world. So the increase of fuel charges will leads to the increase of the cost of day to day operations. This is the inspirations of the hike of call charges for every company.

Idea cellular and Bharati Airtel are the leading telecom operators in india. Both of the companies are increased call rate and to reduce some free minute available in the current plans. The other techniques they are using is the reduction of the validity period for the recharge coupons. The discount rates of the prepaid vouchers are also increased by the leading mobile companies like Airtel and Idea. Vodafone is like to increase the call rate soon as far as possible. Along with them, all other telecom companies are planning to hike the call charge per minute within two weeks.

The increase of price will be applicable to all the 22 telecom circles in the country. Hence the companies will be enable to face thousands of crores surcharge as one time charge. The news of the increase in the call charge is resulted to the private telecom companies are like to reduce promotional offers along with the increase of tariff vouchers.

As per the new plan, Airtel company have increased the charge of calls as double from the actual rate, that means, they are planning to charge Rs. 2 per minute instead of Rs. 1 per minute. The last 11 quarters of account statement shows net profit of the Airtel company was decreasing in each quarter. This is the main reason for the change of price for the call rate.

The current market condition shows, Airtel has reduced free calls by 10 to 15 percent and increased price for special recharge vouchers in the range of Rs. 5 to Rs. 15. Idea cellular’s also has raised the call charges along with the reduction of some free minutes with the new plan to the competitive market scenario.

After the increase of the call rate by  the leading telecom companies, telecom Minister Kapil sibal said that “we want consumers to be offered lowest mobile call rates”.  From this statement we can understand that our telecom ministry will take some possitive measures to stop the huge hike of the call rates and that will be good for the consumers as well as the whole people in india.

The attraction of mobile Recharge was Pay and talk more but Now it changed to Pay more and talk less. Example for the present voucher price and talk times are as follows:-
Prepaid for Rs. 77 à Talk time availed before 135 minutes, Talktime available now is 125 minutes.
